I know health concerns and well being are a concern for many people in these days, and this has led to a number staying away from community activities –Including Sunday worship services. I do wish to remind you that the Sunday Sermons can be found on BLOG that I started at https://revrussellblog.wordpress.com/ or you will find it linked to the United Methodist Church website at umclakecitymi.org. Once you find my BLOG you may subscribe to it, and the sermon and any other posts will come directly to your e-mail. I encourage you to persevere in the faith through these times. I believe that this illness will eventually be neutralized, and life will find its way back to a more normal way of being. Look at these moments as an opportunity to simply wait upon the Lord to act within life. The psalmist tells us Psalm 62:2-8
5 For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. 7 On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.
Even if we are apart for reasons we can not help, God is near to us and even in the quieter moments of life our hope is certain. –Pastor Russell
